‘hope everyone had a good Record Store Day. I waited in line at my favorite shop in town, Criminal Records. I picked up a few exclusives along with something one of the employees at the shop recommended to me. The crowd seemed much larger than any previous RSD and I’m hoping this means more folks will regularly visit the shop and buy records. This particular Record Store Day was special to me in that Criminal asked me to design a t-shirt for them, which they waited until Saturday to unveil. If you’re in Atlanta make sure to grab one and tell the good people on staff there “hello.”
Ok… excuse the shameless self promo… but I’m so effing stoked to have had the opportunity to work with this band - who I’m pretty sure have put out my favorite record of this year - on this poster. I’m gonna screen print an edition of 50 for the band’s show here in ATL and they’ll be for sale at the band’s merch table that night. Hope you enjoy!
This fine record is officially released today and you should probably get it.
In other news… I continue to drag my feet on actually properly updating this thing. My plan is to have a host of contributors, whose taste I admire and respect, help me generate worthwhile content for this thing other than my sporadic and useless rambling as of late.
My only worthy excuse is that various groups of friends who are somehow involved with music (and a certain band mentioned above) have allowed me to do some design work for them and that’s been taking up a chunk of time… or at least that’s my convenient excuse to mask my overall lack of organization. But I share that information with you on account of being excited about taking part in some of the things I’ve often discussed on this blog.
Record Store Day is only 18 days away and I’m pretty excited about that. One of the reasons being that one of the projects I’ve been working on is set to be available on that day.

You should also be listening to this! Semi-breaking my rule about non-vinyl releases but in this case it’s worth it.
If you are not listening to this band, you should be. ‘just pre-ordered this on wax and was rewarded with an instant download. The first song is so ridiculously great. Halfway through and you’re getting a good indication of what kind of journey you’re in for. Let’s just say beyond outer orbit for sure.
